HCHS 2 new buildings will be constructed adjacent to the current building on Highway 11W in Rogersville. The new buildings will be more than double the numbers of dog kennels with +30 new dog kennels and 35 new cat kennels in a total new space of 3,000 square feet. The new buildings will include a much-needed exam room, puppy room, quarantine area, meet/greet room, and reception area. The no-frills cost of the new adjoining animal shelter is approximately $4000,000 with our need approaching $600,000 for final expansion buildout. A revamp of the aging current building is also needed.
