We have started a program to help our dogs get a day off from the shelter.

Here is how it works:

• Come into the shelter during regular business hours.

• Fill out a waiver form for the day.

• Pick a dog of your choice to spend the day with.

• You both go out and have a great day hanging out doing fun activities.

• Bring the dog back before closing or call ahead to arrange for overnight stay with you.

This is designed to let our dogs take a well deserved break from shelter life and get some wonderful social skills in the process of destressing. It also allows you to see if having a dog as a companion in your life will work for you.
